Teqa – New York City

Teqa is a new Mexican tequila bar and taqueria located in Murray Hill that opened in February 2011. I worked on this project together with my dear friend John Lermayer, one of the country’s great mixologists. We created what I believe is one of the most comprehensive agave-focused bar programs in the country with only the finest 100% agave spirits, fresh squeezed juices, an all tequila cocktail menu, communal punch bowls, house ground flavored salts and an amazing ice program. I was lucky enough to design the bar myself and it was one of the most ergonomically efficient bars I’ve ever stepped behind.
